We are deeply committed to doing our part to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 as the impact of the virus continues to widen and evolve. Our focus is on providing a safe environment for our Oyster team, as well as reducing risk, where possible, for those that work at or visit Oyster-managed properties. We are closely following government guidelines and currently have a number of measures in place in response to COVID-19.
Our internal vaccination policy
We strongly support vaccination as an important step to help to reduce the risk of COVID-19 in our communities and to enable our lives and economy to return to normal as quickly as possible. The following vaccination policy has been implemented internally at Oyster:
- From December 1, 2021, Oyster employees, contractors, and guests entering inside our Oyster offices in Auckland and Wellington, centre management offices and Oyster events will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Oyster contractors will also need to be fully vaccinated to visit any of our properties from this date.
- We are committed to strictly adhering to our clients’ vaccination policies and COVID-19 health and safety measures when visiting any tenant and supplier premises.
We respect vaccination is an individual choice. Where necessary, we will work with individuals to determine a fair and reasonable outcome while continuing to implement this policy for the safety of everyone.
Our properties
We are working closely with our property management teams and tenants to ensure all Oyster-managed properties are operating in line with government guidelines. As private businesses, many of our tenants are implementing their own COVID-19 safety measures and we are supporting them to do this where required.
The government guidelines and mandates for certain sectors are changing regularly. We are monitoring developments closely and assisting our tenants to navigate this complex environment and reduce risk wherever possible. Across all properties where Oyster controls common areas, we have a high touch point cleaning and fogging programme in place and additional safety signage has been implemented.
This is new territory for everyone, and we expect that our COVID-19 response will evolve over the coming weeks and months. We thank our team, our investors, our tenants and our suppliers for their support as we work together to create the safest possible environments for everyone we interact with.
