As a result of the 7.8 magnitude earthquake which hit North Canterbury on Monday, Oyster Group advises that, following engineering assessments, the majority of the company’s Wellington portfolio is safe and buildings are being re-occupied.
An engineer’s inspection of James Smith’s Carpark revealed the building has sustained some structural damage and is unable to be reoccupied until repairs are undertaken. The scope and timeframe of the repair work is currently being determined.
Colonial House in High Street Lower Hutt requires some internal fit out repairs before tenant re-occupation. It is anticipated this work will be completed within a week.
