Job Scope
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Oyster team at our Shortland Street office as we head into a new growth phase due to increased demand for our investments. As one of two Property Analysts reporting to the Senior Analyst, the role drives Oyster’s assets from an analytical perspective. The role provides valuation and analytical support to an assigned portfolio, as well as when we are assessing the viability of various acquisition and divestment opportunities. Specifically, this person will prepare asset plans and financial returns analysis to determine optimal investment solutions – both in the short and long term.

Eligibility Criteria
The right person for this role will be passionate about property and ideally experienced within a similar kind of role. Critical competencies they will bring will be their ability to build strong relationships with the various stakeholders within Oyster, ensuring that they’re consulted with sufficiently to provide the right information and analysis that’s required. Having an inquiring, analytical mind, a keen eye for detail and a strong customer service ethic will also be key. Strong Microsoft Office skills – Excel in particular – are also essential.

Responsible for development and delivery of the overall strategic vision including associated annual business plans and budgets. Lead and build a dynamic, high-performing management team always striving for increased capability and quality. Board-level reporting and meeting attendance. Oversight of company financial management with a constant eye on financial planning, cashflow, risk and insurances. Ensuring company compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements. Taking the lead on Development Management for future planned stages whilst building and maintaining key partner and stakeholder relationships. Ensure major tenant relationships are not only maintained but strengthened and Asset Management practices are delivered to the highest industry standards.

Eligibility Criteria
Tertiary-level qualifications in Management, Commerce or Property. Extensive experience in business management, strategic planning and financial oversight. A minimum of 10 years in a senior-level capacity within a retail property (shopping centre) environment. Proven experience taking a shopping centre through a period of development works. Experience leading teams and inspiring others to achieve business goals. Strong financial nous with the ability to convey complex themes to a range of stakeholders. Both broad, big-picture thinking ability coupled with detailed, analytical delivery. A strong commercial awareness and understanding of business principles, drivers and opportunities, utilising these to enhance business performance.

Investor Relations

This is an exciting opportunity to join Oyster as we enter into a new growth phase due to increased demand for our investments. As the key point of contact for Oyster’s investors, this role ensures they are well looked after, building exceptional relationships with them, confidently fielding queries on their investments, ensuring that contact with investors is frequent and value-add and escalating any issues, all the while ensuring that all communication is captured within our CRM. This role requires initiative and ownership to drive and coordinate various investor-related processes, such as all investor and annual general meetings, investor communications and the capital raising process.

Eligibility Criteria
It is essential that the person in this is skilled in building stakeholder rapport, not only with investors, but with the various internal stakeholders who feed into Investor Relations processes here at Oyster. A continuous improvement mindset is also essential as well as excellent attention to detail and initiative, as it is our investment performance, coupled with Oyster’s excellent service and reputation that ensures we are Leaders in property investment. We are looking for someone with 5+ years’ experience in customer / client management or account / relationship management in field of property, banking, financial services and / or wealth management industry. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills are also a must.

Leasing Administrator

Another great role has become available at Oyster’s Shortland Street office. This role provides support to the Leasing Team, keeping the wheels turning behind the scenes, crossing the T’s, dotting the I’s and tying all loose ends to ensure the deals get done. Specifically, this role is across the end-to-end leasing process, overseeing and tracking the leases of rental properties of any of Oyster’s portfolios, as well as the leases of financial transactions and prepares, processes and checks documentation, resolving any queries as they arise.

Eligibility Criteria
The right person for this role will be passionate about property and ideally experienced within a similar kind of role. Critical competencies they will bring will be their keen eye for detail, genuine interest in understanding and scrutinising legal documentation. They will be proactive and excellent at following through with processes. Whilst they’ll have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate, they’ll be happy being in a more ‘back office’ role as opposed to front footing the deals. Strong Microsoft Office skills are also essential.
